About
me
July 6,
2007, two months ago I stated that I was finished making new sites, but then
I came up with the idea of making
The Business Way. It is not a commerce site -- merely a demo of
a new style. It is technically better compared to other sites that I've made:
The Romantic, Modern, and Dark Way. I achieved this new look thanks to my great
professional teacher, Peter, from whom I've learned a lot over the last few
months.
Thank you Peter!
May 2007, I finished with making new websites on conroz.com because it became
my work, I haven't much time anymore because of my study flash and everything
what has to do with webdesign, sometimes you will see new things here, like
the watereffects, flash technics, new little graphics, slideshows, sometimes
a new page like secondlife or the 3D wallpapers I still like 2 make, at the
same time I am training my skills for my work.
ConRoz.com was for me a nice starting project as a hobby and a great experience
on the internet, if you are curious what tools I use: Dreamweaver, Photoshop,
FlashMX, Bryce, Terragen and Poser.
The
Dark Way will be never finished because I lost the file because
of a crash, computers you can not always trust :-(
For the people who are confused about the 3 ways, (The Romantic, The Modern
and The Business Way), they only have different looks/skins, the content is
the same.
Below you will read how I started, enjoy!
..::ConRoz::..
1996, I started playing computer games. The first game I liked was SimCity.
It was a great game. After that, adventure games drew my attention, such as
Myst, Riven, Dune and Lost Eden. Strategic games where also a lot of fun, such
as Themepark, Rollercoaster, Civilization and The Sims. But after a while these
games started to bore me too. One time I saw an advertisement for 3D Home Designer
& 3D landscapes in a computer magazine. Because I like graphical designs,
especially houses and landscapes, I bought it immediately. In the beginning
I was a little disappointed by the complexity of the software, but after a while,
and with lots of help from a book, I liked it even more than playing computer
games. Why ? Because I was creating using my own fantasy.
At the end of 1999 a friend
took dreamweaver home. He thought that creating websites was something for
me. At first it was too difficult and complex for me. Nevertheless, I did
not give up and tried to create my first website. I started with my
favourite pet, the cockatoo. I already had lots of pictures of the cockatoos
I had owned and started scanning and manipulating them. I added beaches, palm-trees
and other nice backgrounds to enhance the images and published my first website
Kaketoeplanet
(Dutch) I was very proud!
After a while I discovered that creating
websites was addictive. I wanted my second site as soon as possible. A site
about dreams. With this site I combined my dream houses (already designed
with 3D Home Designer) and new stuff such as various bed designs with drawings
of my children; beginning 2000
Dreamplanet
(Dutch) was born.
And it didn't stop. My addiction
was definitive. One night after watching a documentary about Egypt and its
pyramids on Discovery Channel, I knew instantly that this would be the third
subject for my next website. I rushed to my PC and started the initial background
trials. I wasn't satisfied. The available color schemes looked nice, but were
not what I had in mind. Then I had a great idea: I took my make-up set and
there it was, terracotta color. With our digital camera I went outside (natural
light) and took some close-up pictures, downloaded them on the PC, and after
some manipulation there it was: the Egypt background terracotta color scheme!
A few months later
Old Egypt Planet
(Dutch) saw the light.
One day I received an email with something
I had never seen before. It contained an image which was scrolling top-down
and played music. Wow! What was that….? I wanted that too! Searching
the Internet I found out that it was a stationery. I downloaded some Internet
tutorials and started creating my own stationeries. I used fantasy pictures
and pictures of friends, my family and children. It was a lot of work, but
after a while I created a dozen of stationeries, which I randomly used when
sending emails. One day one of my Internet girlfriends said to me that I should
create a website specialized in stationeries so that others could visit and
download the stationery they liked. And yes, after a few months all interested
Internet surfers could visit
ConRoz Stationery Planet
(English) I loved creating this website. It is the most visit website of conroz.com.
A girlfriend of mine
asked if I would make a site for her about kids with ADHD, as her son had
been diagnosed with this. She provided me with the text and this
is what was created in 2000: Kids
with ADHD (Dutch)
In 2002, my neighbour's baby sadly passed
away shortly after it's birth. The husband/father began writing poems in order
to help him cope with his and his wife's tragic loss. Eventually I was asked
to collaborate on a website that would present his poems to the rest of the
world, and act as a memorial of sorts to their beloved child. Probably the
most touching project I've ever undertaken:
Annemijne Rosalinde
(French, Dutch, English)
In 2003, when my daughter
was 15 years old, she asked me to make a Wicca site for her, as all her friends
in school were interested in Gothic and Wicca styles of clothing, and so on.
The resulting site is here: Wicca
Planet (English)
Due to my keen interest in history
and ancient Egypt, I decided to make a site about ancient treasure in 2000: Treasure
World (Dutch)
Also in 2000,
my daughter, who was a big fan of the television series Buffy The Vampire
Slayer, asked me to make a site about her favorite tv show. I asked her to
provide me with the content and I would do the rest. The resulting site is
as follows: Buffy
The Vampire Slayer (Dutch)
In 2001 I took it upon myself
to create a variety of free websets for public use based on graphics which
I like: Free
Webtemplates
(English)
Being a fan of
science-fiction, I wanted to make a site about one of my all-time favorite
movies, Aliens. I began work on it with my daughter, who provided the photo's
and text. It was completed in 2003:
Alien Planet
(English)
By now you all know that I am a huge
fan of beautiful graphics, so in 2000 I installed a wonderful 3D program named
Bryce and created a whole range of beautiful and intriguing landscapes:
3D Artist (english)
Yet again my daughter
asked me to create a site, this time about one of her favorite movie stars,
Keanu Reeves. I accepted, though told her that this would be the last time;
she'd have to make her own site next. The site was completed in 2003: Keanu
Reeves (English)
Prince
The Artist 3D wallpapers
This site has probably been the biggest labour of love project I've worked
on.
Being a fan of Prince (in the early day's) & other kind of music like
Rock/Metal I'd previously joined and posted on several various music sites
& Prince forums.
In January 2004
I got a message from a fellow Prince fan known as 'Kealy', who asked me if
I was interested in creating a Prince site with him. We would begin work in
March, and I was thrilled with the idea! He also asked me if I would join
him at his website, as a moderator of the forum. I happily accepted. At this
site I posted a lot of up-to-date news on Prince, photo's, etc. I became addicted!
Remembering my 3D program, I came up with a brilliant idea - I would create
wallpapers! This was my first 3D wallpaper:

I'd made so many wallpapers that I finally came up with the idea of making
my very own site, dedicated to wallpapers & websets only. Finished 2004:
Prince
Art
I'm also
a big Tool/A Perfect Circle fan, and as I'm always looking for new challenges,
maybe I'll find the time to make a Tool/Perfect Circle site some day! Only
time will tell....
Tool wallpaper: Link
My
favorites
Movies: What Dreams May Come, wallpaper: link
Prison Break, Van Helsing, Lost In Translation, Casino, Kill Bill, Scarface,
The Godfather, Aliens, The Mummy, Constantine and much more!

to the future & enjoy my sites!!!
